Faith Happenings

November, 2021

From our Pastor

December 2021

Beginning with the first Sunday in Advent, and continuing to Christmas Day, Christians joyously prepare  themselves for the coming of the Christ Child. The sermons preached on the next few Sundays and in midweek  Advent services, the Scripture readings, hymns, even the paraments on the altar – all serve to remind God’s people  that “your King comes to you.”

Advent and Christmas furnish us with a special opportunity for praising God because “when the time had fully  come God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might  receive the full rights of sons and daughters” (Galatians 4: 4-5).

Christians also recall and rejoice that Christ the King came to us once in baptism. In his Holy Supper, he comes  to us in a gracious and merciful way, giving us his body and blood for the forgiveness of our sins. He comes to  us in his Word as it is spoken and read. In fact, he never leaves us; he is with us always, even unto the end of the  world.

Please join us for our midweek services during this Advent season. The theme for the midweek series is the Old  Testament’s “The Symbols of Salvation.”
